February Snow Fun in Wisconsin

I live in Wisconsin. It snows…frequently and sometimes a lot. Saturday, we had yet another winter storm roll through and those are usually good days to cuddle up with a blanket by the fireplace, watch movies, drink hot chocolate and just have a nice ‘jammie day.”
One Month from Today – Brothers at War Movie
When Dave Scantling found me on Twitter, a few weeks ago, I was a bit surprised as I really didn’t know anything about the upcoming Brothers at War movie at the time.
As a mom of two active duty soldiers, and a former military spouse myself, I was particularly interested in what this movie has to say. With 2 brothers serving in Iraq, Jake Rademacher embeds himself twice, in his brother’s unit, to see the day to day experience of what is really happening in Iraq and why our soldiers are doing what they are doing.
From what I’ve seen so far, we will be taken into the lives of what our soldiers are doing every single day, their triumphs, their families and their personal sacrifice.
Whether you have family members serving, support our troops or are active duty yourself, get your advanced tickets and go see this movie!
Sending Personalized Valentines Day Cards to My Soldiers
This Saturday is February 14th, Valentine’s Day, one of the most fun holidays of the year.
We get to send anything you can imagine that is red and white. Cards, treats and all kinds of goodies to those we love and care about. Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples in love, though. I send personalized Valentine’s Day cards to my husband, of course, and also to my daughter.
February 14th is also my grandmother’s and a good friend’s daughter’s birthday, too. It is also the 8 year anniversary of when I launched my very first website. More on that in a separate post.
I am sure there are also a lot of wedding anniversaries on Valentine’s Day, too.
A very important group of people that we can not forget on Valentine’s Day are our soldiers, sailors, airmen, coasties and anybody who serves in our armed forces. These brave men, women and their families sacrifice so much to protect our freedoms.
Our Good Morning America Update
I apologize for taking so long to post this update. This week has been a bit crazy, to say the least. I chaperoned Emily’s 2nd grade field trip the other day and we had a blast! It was so much fun. Me and three 8 year olds in my car. They are so cute!
Our Good Morning America interview last week was really a lot of fun! The camera crew got here about 3:30 and were a crew sent up from Chicago.
When I got home, they had already been filming up and down our street. They had me and Emily take our dog, Copper, for a walk up and down the street, then they took footage of the outside of the house before it got dark.
