About Patty

In 2001, I left corporate America after 17 years as an investment professional. All I knew then was that I didn’t want to put my newborn daughter in daycare.

During those years as a securities trader, my job was to make a lot of money for a lot of other people. I got to travel to places like New York and Chicago to meet with the big Wall Street firms.

Exciting and glamorous? Not so much. I was a single mom most of those years and my boss’s mood depended on the direction of the stock market, so you can imagine how some days were.

PattyEmilyOne day, in particular, back in 1989, was the turning point for me and a promise that I made, although I didn’t know it until nearly 10 years later …a must read if you have kids.

“A Promise Kept.”

Today, I am a network marketing professional, absolutely love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else!

It hasn’t always been easy. In the early days, there were plenty of times I was ready to throw the computer out the window, but I didn’t. The alternative was to go back to financial services, which would have meant I quit, and I wasn’t about to become a quitter.

Most of all, I am home, with my daughter, who has never seen the inside of a daycare center. I get to take her to school and pick her up every day, never miss a school event and get to play when we want.

I believe everybody has a ’someday,’ much like my ’someday’ was to be the kind of mom I wanted to be. My mission and passion is helping you to take action, so that your ’someday’ can start right now, too.

From New York to the Midwest

I am a native New Yorker who has been living in the Midwest for the last 25+ years, although New York will always be home.  I like to say “You can take the girl out of NY, but you can’t take the NY out of the girl.”

I come from a very large Italian family, which explains why I still talk with my hands and crave a good cannoli every once in a while.

Growing up on Long Island, I remember driving to Brooklyn, nearly every Sunday, with my family to visit my grandparents. Back then, the entire neighborhood (Bensonhurst) was Italian, and you could literally smell the sauce cooking on the stoves from all these families before you even walked into their apartment building.

I remember all the amazing stories my grandparents told us about their lives during the Depression of the 30’s and World War II. They made such a difference in my life and how I view the world.

I truly believe that whatever you do, when it’s all said and done, the only thing that really matters is the difference we make in the lives of other people.

Below is a quick video of all the amazing people that make a difference in my life, why I work from home and chose this profession.

An Army Parent

In 2008, I became an Army parent of two soldiers, when my sons decided to serve our country. At the time of this writing, they are both deployed to the Middle East.

I’ve recently been a guest on Army Wife Network, Christian Work at Home Moms, the IM Learning Center and Christian Military Wives Network.

I am also very excited about being the contributing “Home Business Hub” columnist for Army Wife Magazine. They are doing an amazing job of empowering Army spouses!

I am a guest blogger for Blue Star Families, Army Mom Strong and a member of Soldiers Angels. These groups are wonderful support for military families.

I am married to my best friend, Doug, who truly is my gift from God.  We met on a ski trip in 1997 at Park City, UT and we are working on our ’someday’ of relocating to Breckenridge, CO.

As you browse through my blog, you’ll see that I am very passionate about my family, our military and the network marketing profession.  Network marketing has changed my life in more ways that I can imagine and my hope is that I can show you how it can change yours, too.

Make it an amazing day!
