Giving Thanks

thanksgivingI, we, have a lot to be thankful for. We live in a free country, where men, women and children are free to worship as they choose, free to go about as we please, free to choose our livelihood and our neighborhood.

I am thankful for my family, local and long-distance. I am thankful for my amazing husband, my soul-mate, my feisty 8 year old daughter, of which I never in a million years, thought I would be so blessed.

Without a doubt, I am thankful for my brave sons, who serve and protect from far away, and for all of our military families who give up more than just a holiday for this country.

Mom & Dad, Tell Me the Truth

santa-claus
That is what we heard from our 8 year old daughter tonight as we were tucking her into bed.

“Mom & Dad, tell me the truth.. Is Santa Claus real or not?”

Wow, talk about smacking me over the head with that one when I wasn’t looking! Here we are in March and she’s still got the Santa question lingering from Christmas?

Sending Personalized Valentines Day Cards to My Soldiers

This Saturday is February 14th, Valentine’s Day, one of the most fun holidays of the year.

We get to send anything you can imagine that is red and white. Cards, treats and all kinds of goodies to those we love and care about. Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples in love, though. I send personalized Valentine’s Day cards to my husband, of course, and also to my daughter.

February 14th is also my grandmother’s and a good friend’s daughter’s birthday, too. It is also the 8 year anniversary of when I launched my very first website. More on that in a separate post.

I am sure there are also a lot of wedding anniversaries on Valentine’s Day, too.
