This Early Bird is Yawning
Yet with a couple of cups of coffee, I just may stay awake!
One of my ideas for this year is to get a jump on the day. You, know the ‘early bird catches the worm.’
My reasons are two-fold.
First, and most important, I want Emily’s morning time in getting ready for school to be undivided attention in enjoying that part of the morning. She needs to be up no later than 6:50 a.m. The typical morning routine is getting breakfast, making her lunch, making the beds, etc.
The start of the day is usually how the tone is set for the rest of the day, so I want that time in the morning to be relaxed and fun.
What’s Your Someday?
Everybody has a ’someday’.
“Someday, I’m going to take that vacation.”
“Someday, I’m going to give more to church.”
“Someday, I’ll be able to make it to Susie’s soccer game.”
“Someday, I’m going to leave this job for something better.”
and it goes on and on and on.
Sound familiar?
What is your ’someday?’ My someday was that ’someday’ I’m going to buy a house, ’someday’ I’m going to take my oldest son back to Germany so he can see where he was born.
I am now a homeowner, although I have still to take my son back to Germany to see where he spent the first 18 months of his life, although I know it will happen because I will make it happen.
Forget The Naysayers
If you have naysayers in your life, then this post is for you. You know the ones I’m talking about.
Those are the people who scoff at your direct sales business and say things like, “Oh, nobody buys that stuff any more” or “You’ll never make money at that” or “That’s just one of those ‘things’ that never work.”
They are the ones who try to squelch your dreams.
If you’re new to reading my blog, I’ve been on both sides of the fence. I spent 17 years in corporate America and have spent the last 8 years working from home in my own business.
