I thought I replied to your comment, but now I see it's not here. Was I dreaming? I know exactly what you mean. Those years go by so fast. I have two older sons, who are now 26 and 24 and it seems like just yesterday that they were Emily's age.

Awesome post! You tugged at my heartstrings with those pictures of you growing up playing with the neighborhood kids. You're right, that rarely happens anymore! So glad you wrote about this, Patty!

Patty,

Wow – what a post! You have said it so well. My mom was always home when I grew up too. She dropped us off at school and picked us up. I”m not sure what she did in between:-) I just know she was always there when I was.

I chose to do the same for my kids. We homeschooled them for many years. Now I run a home based business. Even though my kids aren’t young anymore, they still live at home and it’s nice to be there when they are (which isn’t that much anymore:-) I am so thankful for all the years we have had together.
