Tickle Fights with Emily are the Best
Emily is one little (oops, I better not say little!)… is one young girl who LOVES to have tickle fights.
She also loves to surprise me to no end. She can be quite sneaky!
One of my favorite times of the day is tucking her in at night, saying our prayers and then having ‘girl chat.’
It’s Just Girl Talk
Moms, if you want your daughters to talk to you when they’re pre-teens and teens, make sure you start the open line of communication when they’re little.
At nine years old, you’d be amazed at how her brain works and what she has to say!
On the way home from the grocery store the other day, she told us that she wants to work on a horse ranch, but not any horse ranch. It has to be a horse ranch in Colorado. Ah! A girl after my own heart.
Emily was born with a love for animals. From the time she was very little, she didn’t play house or school with dolls, but rather with her stuffed animals.
I remember walking into her room one day and she had some of them all lined up on the bed facing the ‘teacher’, playing school. It was absolutely adorable!
Just Like Family
Whenever a new one comes into our house, it gets the absolute royal treatment. It gets a new ‘bed’, has to be introduced to all the other ‘animals’ and it doesn’t matter if it’s an elephant or a mouse, they all get treated like they are a member of the family… in her eyes, they are.
She’s always said that she wants to be either a vet or work in animal rescue and I truly believe that is her calling. She has such a kind of nurturing heart. I am truly blessed to have been given such a gift of a daughter.
Taking Time for Tickle Fights
I am very thankful to be in a profession where I can take the time for tickle fights. It’s the little things that not only she will remember most, but so will I.
Tickle fights… girl talk while tucking in at night, and not feeling rushed because of a million other things to do. I don’t have a million other things to do because of the priorities I’ve created, because of the profession I’ve chosen.
Network marketing gives me the freedom to enjoy the moments with my daughter that will be cherished and remembered years from now.
I don’t have to get a briefcase ready for the morning.
I don’t have to make sure I have a clean suit to wear.
I don’t have to worry if there’s enough gas in the car for the commute.
I don’t have to worry about whether I’m going to have enough time for the important stuff….like tickle fights.
How about you?
