The New Breed of the Unemployed

I’m posting this article today from The Business Insider because this is something people really need to pay attention to.
The federal government is trying to convince us that the recession is over by claiming the GDP grew last quarter. Don’t believe it. The recession won’t be over until people are spending cold hard cash, not continuing to max out their credit cards.
People can’t spend cash unless they have income. (notice I didn’t say job).
In years past, those who were first in the unemployment line or who had a hard time finding a job, in economic downturns, were lower-income workers, mostly unskilled.
That’s not the case today. Today’s new breed of unemployed are well-educated, high-income professionals. 25,000 Lehman Brothers employees alone, lost their jobs when their company crashed and burned. That’s just one company.
This creates a huge pool of people in the $50K and up salary range competing for the same positions that are simply not out there.
Employers are not hiring because they’re strapped for cash, too, don’t know what the future will bring. They’ve cut back because they don’t know if they’re going to be taxed ‘from here to eternity’ with what the government is proposing for healthcare.
What does this mean for you? Well, if you’re one of those people in this situation, or ready to make a change, ready to take on and create your financial security yourself, there has never been a better time to start a home-based business in network marketing.
Network marketing works and we have the proof. It works for those who are ready to learn, those who are coach-able and for those ready to dust off their dreams and roll up their sleeves to make it happen.
You may be thinking “But, Patty, I need cash now.” I understand that, which is why you can do this part-time while you are currently working your job. Network marketing is the only profession that you can devote 7-10 hours per week part-time while working your regular job.
So, is this you? Are you ready?
If it is, go to the “Work with Patty” link above and discover how we can work together.
I’ve been on both sides of the fence, in corporate America and, since 2001, from home. This side of the fence has a much better view!
