Sometimes, you just get one of ‘those’ ideas. An idea that you wonder, ‘Why isn’t there something like this already?” or “How come no one else is doing this?” “Is this really meant for me to create?”

In early December, I had a prompting to start a Facebook group for “The Women of Network Marketing.” I know there are a lot of business networking groups on the web and in local communities, too.

Local chamber, BNI, etc. are all great business networking groups. I belong to my local Chamber of Commerce.

However, I had yet to see a group of like-minded women come together for inspiration, encouragement, support and to raise the bar for the network marketing profession.

Network Marketing is Different from Traditional Businesses

Our profession has issues that are unique to us and while I strongly urge you to be involved in your local community, sometimes your local brick & mortar business just can’t relate to what we do, much like I’ll never understand the unique issues of other professions.

I am very excited at how quickly the group has grown. We have nearly 500 members from when we started and are growing daily, attracting women from a variety of countries including the United States.

Other countries represented are: United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Italy, Australia, Puerto Rico, France, Belgium, Norway, Australia, Kenya, India, Argentina, Philippines, Hungary and Malta.

Pretty impressive group of women, I’d say! I think it proves the point that regardless of our cultural differences, we are in a profession that we know we can achieve financial security and time freedom… something that is just a human desire, not a cultural one.

Local WNM Connect Events

On January 30th, I’ll be hosting the very first local “WNM Connect” event in one of my favorite coffee houses with several women in my area. This will be a lot of fun to share and discuss ideas on how to create the blueprint for other local WNM events across the country, and at some point, across the globe.

Wow! That sounds pretty big, doesn’t it? A global movement of women in network marketing? Absolutely! I love it and can’t wait.

It’s Time

This is OUR time.. Ladies, it is time to step into your greatness!

It’s time to raise the bar and awareness of women in network marketing, of this profession, not just for those of us in the profession today, but for future generations… for our daughters and their daughters, to show them they won’t have to settle, that they can create their own path in life!
