What Are Your Options?

These days, more and more people are weighing in their career options as a direct result of the state of the economy.
Back in early December, I wrote about the new breed of the unemployed. These are MBA’s, executives, and other professionals who suddenly never thought that ‘it’ would happen to them. ‘It’ being finding themselves suddenly out of work.
Perhaps you’re one of them?
In connecting with a lot of people on places such as Facebook and LinkedIn, I see more and more professionals who have been out of work, 6, 12 or even 18 months and this isn’t going to change any time soon.
33 Interviews and Still No Job
Just yesterday, there was a commenter on CNN.com who said she had been to 33 interviews in the medical field, an additional 17 interviews for lower-paying jobs out of over 180 resumes that she’s submitted to various companies… not one offer.
People like her are becoming more the norm than the exception.
We’re not talking about burger-flipping jobs at McDonald’s, although I’m sure for some, even that would be a welcome paycheck. We ARE talking about mid-to-upper level management professionals and those who were once were highly-paid executives.
Those jobs are not coming back.
Your Options
So, what are your options if you don’t want to become part of the government statistics? Well, you can consider alternative career in network marketing. I’ll be perfectly upfront to say that it is not for everyone, much like being an investment professional or medical professional is not for everyone.
However, if you’re open to exploring what network marketing is TODAY versus what you may have heard in the past, then it can be a solution for you if you’re tired of the traditional corporate grind (like I was) and ready to make a change.
