A Breakfast Date with my Husband

blueberrysconeOne of the most fun things having Doug home is we have both been able to take Emily to school in the morning and pick her up in the afternoon.

This is something that he had really never been able to do when he was working downtown and having to leave the house at 6:30 a.m.

This morning he said, “After we drop off Emily, let’s go for coffee.”   I thought, “Cool!”

We went to a little local coffee shop in the next town over that I had been to 3 years earlier with his sisters.  It was where I tasted gelato for the very first time.

This place was so quaint, with big, comfy couches, board games, a t.v., books and magazines and just a nice, relaxing place to have coffee and a muffin.

I grabbed a blueberry scone and coffee and we just sat and chatted for about an hour.  It was so nice to be able to do that with my sweetie.
