Merry Christmas!
I say this every year, and each year, I still can’t believe how fast the year goes by. Must be one of those things that after you turn 30, time is in fast-forward.
2008 was anything but boring in our house. Between the boys’ graduations and ceremonies, a trip to Disney World, several trips to Colorado and of course, our cross country move to Colorado for 10 weeks and then back.
Emily is now 8 and this is the first year she was really hard to buy for. She didn’t give us much indication what she wanted for Christmas and there really wasn’t that “the only thing I want is…”
This was also her doubting Santa year. I have to admit, I was certainly not ready for that yet.
However, thanks to our good friend, Todd Schager, Emily showed up on Santa’s nice list, so now she had absolute ‘proof’. You can view the video at the link below:
I was going to post a picture of our Christmas tree, but the ones I’ve already taken are blurry. I’ll take some more tomorrow.
The boys (what boys, they’re young men!) are in Germany for Christmas visiting Claire, Sean’s girlfriend. This is her first year away from her family for the holidays. She is stationed in Germany and Sean here in the states, so I’m glad they’ll be spending Christmas together.
We’ll be having a low-key Christmas Eve and tomorrow we’re spending it with Doug’s parents. I definitely miss my Italian holidays and will post all about those at a later time.
In the meantime, I wish you a very Merry Christmas!

You indeed had an eventful year! As did I. Although my events weren’t quite as fun as yours. LOL
I never got to see the video (I may try again later) but it is a cute idea.

Thanks, Dennis! Yes, you had some pretty major events this year, too.
