Someday is Not a Day of the Week

The other day, I was ‘Easter bunny’ shopping for a new Webkinz for Emily.

I happened to glance over at the book rack and this book, with the big title, “Someday is Not a Day of the Week” was staring right at me!

Wow! I was so excited to see this concept in a children’s book! Finally, someday has written a book for our kids about something that I talk about all the time on this blog and with those I meet.

I didn’t get to read the book, although I’m pretty certain of the core message. I didn’t think it would be appropriate while I was in the store or at the checkout for the Webkinz. I needed to get a couple of other errands done, so I can’t wait to sit down with it.

From one of the Amazon reviews:

“Someday” is a reminder that was cannot let the busy-ness of life take us away from the important things in life — spending time with your children and grandchildren.

How true this is! ‘Someday’ isn’t a day of the week. So many people are fixated on ‘someday’ I’ll do this and ‘someday’ I’ll do that, yet ‘someday’ never comes.

“Everybody has a ‘someday’, what’s yours?”
