postheadericon What Standards Do You Represent?

I was watching this video of the Army drill team, and during one part of the interview, there was one thing that really got me thinking.

When SSG Davenport said, “All of these soldiers take their job very seriously because of what they represent….I try to keep myself to the utmost standards representing the Army and my soldiers. We travel around and represent the Army to everyone.”

Watch the drill team and their precision. Every soldier goes through a rigorous training and practice so that they are in sync with each other, to make sure that every member of the team lives up to the same high standards.

Think about this for a minute and how it applies to our network marketing business.

What standards do you represent? Your company? Your team? How about yourself? There are some great lessons that we can learn from the Army drill team.

I’ve been online for a long time, and have seen a lot…some of it great, some not so great. I cringe when I see teams or network marketers promoting with hype and websites that ‘scream’ at me.

If you’re just starting your network marketing career, what kinds of standards do the leaders in your company set forth and adhere to for themselves and their team?

What do they represent and do you want to be a part of it? What about when you see things happening in your own company? Do you turn the other way or do you call people out?

Integrity and standards have been a big issue in this industry for a long time. My thoughts are this. Always be a professional, always hold yourself up to the highest standards, always take the high road.

You are a representative of not only your company, but this profession. If we are going to raise the bar, then it has to start with each and every one of us who care enough to be part of the transformation.

It has to start today, it has to be a rigorous challenge to be as one team, in unison, held up to the highest standards of what we represent as network marketing professionals.

Thought for the day: Are there things you see in this industry that you’ve been hesitant to address and call people out on?
