The Women of Network Marketing Meet

The past weekend marked the very first local meeting of The Women of Network Marketing. I am so excited about the growth of our Facebook group in just the last couple of months!

Reaching the Corners of the Globe

We are swiftly approaching 600 members and have attracted women literally from around the globe.

Facebook stats tell me that we have women from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Australia, Portugal, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates to name a few…truly a multi-national group.

From left to right: Nicole is with Investment Advisors International, Me, Gail is a leader in Mary Kay and has been with the company for 25 years, Mary is one of our new Send Out Cards local team leaders.

Sharing the Same Vision

What is so exciting about this is that regardless of any cultural differences that we may have, as we are coming together on Facebook, it’s easy to see that we share the same passion about the network marketing industry.

I’ve made some great friends already and when I visit their profiles and see their pictures, I see families, children playing in the snow, company events, friends out to dinner.

If I didn’t know they were half-way around the world, I would think they were my neighbors around the corner.

Creating the Foundation

The four of us met in one of the coolest local coffee houses, Milwaukee Street Traders. Think big comfy couches, free wi-fi and oversized coffee mugs.

Nichole, Gail and I had never met before, so as I shared my ideas for the group, and we started talking about our expectations and contributions for the Women of Network Marketing, the energy at that table was amazing!

Our time flew by and when we were finished, we had created the foundation for a clearly defined Mission, Vision and Values.

Local Group Interest

What is even more exciting is the interest of women across the country who want to either lead or attend a local WNM Connect event in their area, so we’ll be putting together a very simple ‘how to’ with some ideas and guidelines for them.

We’re all in agreement that we will not be making this complicated by creating formal chapters with by-laws, rules & regs (ugh!). This is about having fun while empowering each other to be successful in our respective companies. Each group should be allowed to form and grow based on their own unique personalities.

Coming together on Facebook is a fantastic way for all of us to connect, and coming together locally with real hugs, smiles and handshakes will continue to strengthen our bond with each other and our mission as a group.

Very exciting, indeed…
